Karen was born in 1942 in Nazi occupied Denmark. A while ago I recorded her remembering her wartime experiences and the post war years. Drawing on her reminiscences, I wrote an imagined conversation with her discussing the similarities of our wartime and post war memories, I was born in 1943 in Rochester which was being bombed by the Nazis. It is a prose poem in two voices and I spoke to Karen who agreed to record it with me..
I recorded us over a couple of months, found some music and here is the result, a gentle prose poem of two friends reminiscing.
